GEn01 analysis meeting Apr. 23, 2003 ==================================== Note: these minutes were written after the following weekly meeting. So there is no TO DO list and the notes themselves are rather sparse. REPORTS *) 98 data: Nikolai tried to contact Chris Harris about the 98 data. He didn't do much with Q2=1 data, and his thesis doesn't show any kinematic plots. There might be online histograms. Hongguo will look at data with 98 engine, Nikolai with 01 engine. *) Field Off - Moved the chicane on Oct. 26. There is no Q2=1 ND3 runs with field off. *) Possible HMS problems: Nikolai talked to Jim Kelly about the problems in the HMS. Jim's thought was that we had a magnet cycling problem or a code problem. The cycling problem is not the case, as the shift is something that persists for all runs. The examination of the 98 data will tell us if we have a code problem. *) third pass: about 1/3 done. *) RSS results: for p_0~ 5 GeV, W peak of NH3 is within 10 MeV of 940. Hongguo was asked to put the MC-Data comparison of RSS on the Gen list. An investigation with narrower bins would be very helpful. *) Target field reconstruction: Frank did test with target field bypassed and with field set to zero. Field code has very little impact on W. *) accidentals: will discuss next week.
