From pmm3w@virginia.edu Mon Feb 12 12:19:50 2001 Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2001 12:19:40 -0500 (EST) From: Paul Moore McKee To: Don Crabb , Donal Day , Joe Mitchell , Chris Keith , Marko Zeier , Paul McKee , Dave Meekins , Mike Seely Subject: Minutes for Feb 07 Meeting Minutes, 07 Feb 2001 Engineering Meeting -The contract for the decking of the lower target platform has been awarded. The columns and railings are currently at bid, the stairs will go out shortly. -There has been a machine breakdown. The resulting shift in schedules means that the G0 transfer line will definitely be in, allowing the target to draw its LN2 supply from there, shortening line length. -Vacuum insulated transfer line will be used for LN2 delivery. A set of solenoid valves at the target end of the line will allow precooling the line. -The target cooldown in the EEL is largely on schedule. Magnet survey caused a slight shift in the schedule. -Cables need to be located from the target platform to the counting house. Some of the needed cables may have to be pulled. -X-ray measurements of the target should be done in the hall, if possible. This would allow total verification of alignment with the beam line and target. -Work on the neutron detector stand is progressing. The question of whether steel in the stand would pose problems for the phototubes was discussed. It was agreed that the target field is so far away that there would probably not be an effect. Other small details about the stand were also discussed. -The position of the 500L LHe dewar is now final. Since the magnet will not be rotated 180 degrees, the position on the lower target platform can be set.
